Hand-dyed cottons and discharge dyed polyester computer transfers; machine pieced, appliqued and quilted; 24 by 29 inches.
"As a photographer and former computer consultant, I have been experimenting with computer fabrics since 1994. Realistic images from my photographs become computer disperse dye transfers. Abstract backgrounds and semi-realistic parts of the design are my hand-dyed fabrics. Themes involving nature and still lifes. are my usual, though not
exclusive subject matter. Foxgloves in my cousin's garden inspired Floral Symphony #2: Foxgloves, the second in a series of floral studies."
