Quilt National '79
As time goes by we can recognize the significance for the art quilt movement of Quilt National '79. Unfortunately, no catalogue exists for this first show. In an attempt to provide a substitute, we have assembled a number of items:
- an introduction to the show written in 1979 by Gary Schwindler, one of the jurors.
- some photographs of the jurors and of the installation.
- every quilt, with a detail photograph of most of the quilts.
NOTE:
The quality of the photographs varies. If a viewer has a better quality photograph, the web master would appreciate receiving a copy of the image.
